Prolly corrupted. It will even happen with name brand SD cards randomly or if you manipulate them too much. Happened several times with me prompting purchase of file recovery software to get the pics back. I've had better luck with Sony Tough SD cards. More expensive, but hardy. According to the D7000 manual: Selecting Enable release allows the shutter to be released when no memory card is inserted, although no pictures will be recorded (they will however be displayed in the monitor in demo mode). If Release locked is selected, the shutter-release button is only enabled when a memory card is inserted in the camera.
