1. Oil leaks. Oil leaks are one of the symptoms most commonly associated with a bad crankcase vent filter. The crankcase filter simply filters the blow by gases to make sure that they are clean before they are rerouted back into the vehicle’s intake manifold. Over time, the filter can get dirty and restrict the air flow, and therefore Check the Oil Filter Housing Gasket, Valve cover gasket, CCV, Oil cooler gasket (These will explain the blueish smoke). Oil pan gasket, the oil pan itself (look for damage), look around the oil level sensor for leaks aswell (this would explain the huge loss in oil). Valve stem seals will never let 1l go through in 100km.

Then source the other 2 hoses, they can be aftermarket. +1000 x 1000. That's not even a hack its a genuine BMW ccv with 2 hoses for $56. Best deal you can find.

The vacuum port on the CCV valve went to the fuel pressure regulator on the M52 engines--the M54 engine the port is capped off-----on the M54 engines the fuel pre--reg derives vaccum from the small vac hose that goes into the air intake duct--right after the maff--along side of the vac hoes for the jet suck pump kV5kH.
