JPEG on the left and the RAW file on the right as they come out of the camera. Second photo is the same or close to same settings on the T6i. The RAW file was stunning! James. It may be an idea to format a card and put the new G7X II firmware on it and put it in the camera and see what happens. It probably looks for the file type on the card and boots up with an update sequence and checks the version. R6 Firmware 1.7.0 update results in banding - a second update resulted in INOPERABLE. 12-24-2022 02:07 AM - edited ‎12-24-2022 05:22 AM. I just updated my firmware from 1.2.0 (if I recall) to 1.7.0 and in my initial test of filming the TV screen (a palm tree ocean scene on YouTube), I see banding.
